Capital Roofing is a construction company with a focus in exterior home improvement. Which includes but is not limited to roofing, siding, and gutters. With a great reputation in the Chicago land area and it’s surrounding suburbs. In addition, Capital Roofing offers restoration services for wind and hail damage, which has lead to millions of dollars in gross sales revenue for our Independent Sales Representatives. We also have an A rating with the Better Business Bureau. We offer competitive commissions and sales incentives.
Position Description:
This entry level Sales position entails developing regional account prospects and servicing existing customers with a focus on driving roofing service sales. The sales representative will also organize and conduct programs and communications aimed at validating Capital Roofing’s value propositions new account prospects. As an Independent Sales Representative you will develop and grow long-term relationships with residential home owners, building owners, property management companies, general contractors and business decision makers in the Greater Chicago area in order to meet their commercial and or residential roofing needs. Strong negotiation and problem solving skills are a plus, but training will be provided if selected for position.
Responsibilities:
- Be a problem-solver and servant leader with integrity who builds long-term customer relationships.
- Build and maintain relationships through
- In-person sales calls and client entertainment
- Obtaining Referrals
- Detailed follow-up about quotations, material information, installation and overall service levels
- Consistent interaction and collaboration with Capital Roofing’s,, Management and inside sales staff
- Identify ideal customers to include but not limited to:
- Business Owners
- Home Owners
- Commercial Real Estate Management Companies
- Market Intelligence: Gathers and reports market, industry, and competitive information necessary to maintain and develop the business.
- Reports and Records: Completes all reports, records, submittals, proposals and administrative tasks in a timely manner. Maintains records needed to track, assess, plan and retain the business.
- Policy and Procedure: Follows in both letter and spirit Capital Roofing’s policies, procedures, and processes.
- Self-Development: In coordination with coaching and guidance from the VP (Jacqueline Schram), completes priority training and development activities that will contribute to increasingly effective performance.
- Collections: Establish expectations of payment for materials and service before services or materials are delivered. Contacts accounts as requested to ensure timely and complete collection of receivables.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate is a current resident of the Chicago land area who has:
- Sales Experience (Roofing Sales Experience a plus)
- Strong skills in relationship building, presentation, problem solving, prospecting and closing
- Ability to clearly communicate and negotiate in challenging situations
- Ability to overcome objections and suggest solutions
- Account Maintenance skills preferred
- Must be able to climb a ladder; may require lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Must have a vehicle that can carry a 28’ ladder
- The personal integrity, sense of responsibility, trustworthiness and leadership skills that inspires the confidence of customers and co-workers.
- Familiarity with Xactimate a plus
Capabilities:
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word; ability to do extensive research on the Internet.
- Team-oriented, energetic, enthusiastic, self-motivated and a good work ethic.
- Strong skills in listening, organization and sales closing.
